Survival Guide to I.T: Learn What Goes on in the Information Technology Field
Published in Paperback by Writers Club Press (April, 2002)
Author: Pat Sullivan
Average review score:

No Fluff
It seems that this book has cut out all the fluff some of those 500 page books have. It also seems to focus on people that would like to get into I.T. and not those of us already in. Although I must admit I loved it and laughed at many sections because of it's truthfulness. Great book, I recommend it!

Tales of the Treasure Chest
Published in Paperback by Xlibris Corporation (January, 2002)
Author: Joan Sullivan Christensen
Average review score:

Don't Wait For Him To Change
This is a wonderful story around the changing lives of 3 women who run a thrift shop.

Helena, the protagonist, roles is especially interesting. She has been married to a military officer, who has managed to control her every thought, for nearly 30 years.

During this story, you will watch her evolve, fall back, grow some more, then fall back.

Helena is trying to break out of long-time conditioned habits, which limit her to waiting for her husband to give her what she really wants.

This book would appear to a very wide audience, because there are many things to think about, as you get a glimpse into not just the lives of these 3 women, but also the lives of the people who work with them, and who touch their soul, on other levels.

Read this novel to visit a circle of friends, and enjoy sharing their lives, while you choose where you really want to be.

Tanner's Twelve Swingers (Chivers Sound Library)
Published in Audio CD by Chivers Audio Books (February, 2002)
Authors: Lawrence Block and Nick Sullivan
Average review score:

Tanner's back for another trek across Europe. A delight.
. Tanner is back in the third of eight books in the series. This one is much better than the first two. Again Tanner leaves NYC to trek across Europe, sneak across boarders. This time the trip takes him from home to Yugoslavia north to Russia. Keeping in mind this adventure as wells as the two others takes place before the brake up of the Soviet Union and the problems and war with the breakup of Yugoslavia. Block's historical accounts are excellent and add to the excitement of the book. It's well paced and I look forward to the others in the series. At this point in time they are on backorder at amazon.com.

Terrorism Industry: The Experts and Institutions That Shape Our View of Terror
Published in Hardcover by Random House (July, 1990)
Authors: Edward Herman and Gerry O'Sullivan
Average review score:

More than right wing propoganda
The western "corporate" mass media seems to be more concerned about protecting special interests than is disseminating good, unbiased information. This book goes over different conflict areas (South Africa, Middle East, etc) comparing how certain events were reported by the corporate media, and what actually happened. It shows how what we see, read and hear are all highly edited and spun by those that want to obscure the truth. An absolutely fantastic book. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind having their eyes opened.

They Shot the President: Ten True Stories (Scholastic Biography)
Published in Paperback by Scholastic (November, 1993)
Author: George Sullivan
Average review score:

Not just for history buffs.
George Sullivan is one of the best writers I have ever heard. In "They Shot the President" Sullivan gets right to the point and covers 10 true stories about history's most famous assassination atempts perfectly in just about 60 pages. Thats pretty good. His writing style also makes "They Shot the Prez." a perfect thriller even though the reader already knows the outcome most of the time. The book is very profound and has very memorable parts in it. GET THIS!

Should be required reading for every educator & policy maker
This is a beautiful book. Beautiful in its clarity, depth, and vision, and for the wonderful hope it inspires.

Trial by Jury
Published in Hardcover by Broude Brothers, Ltd. (January, 1994)
Author: Arthur Sullivan
Average review score:

Singing so merrily, trial-la-law!
This is the first volume of Braude Bros.' "Gilbert & Sullivan Project", a Herculean effort to produce the definitive critical editions of the Gilbert & Sullivan operas.
The result is nothing short of extraordinary. Working from sources dating to the autors' lifetimes, Steven Ledbetter and his team of editors and researchers have put together an edition to put all others to shame. Features include:
*Complete, annotated libretto, with illustrations by Gilbert
*Trial By Jury in full score

*A Critical Apparatus detailing every discrepancy between their edition and the source scores

The edition is printed on high-quality paper, attractively bound in a light-blue hardcover. The clear, easy-to-read formatting of the music makes it a practical score for conducting the opera, as well as a scholarly tome for musical study.

I confidently and enthusiastically recommend this score for all lovers of Gilbert & Sullivan, and for all companies wishing to perform Trial By Jury.

Trolleycars, Streetcars, Trams and Trolleys of North America: A Photographic History
Published in Hardcover by Heimburger House Publishing Company (November, 1998)
Authors: Frank Sullivan and Fred Winkowski
Average review score:

A Magnificent Exploration of Vintage Trolleys
While there are a number of books about streetcars and interurban trains of the past, few come as close to putting readers around and onboard them as this book does. Its modern-day, color photography of these vintage rail cars -- all preserved at rail museums around North America and Britain -- is nothing short of stunning.

Grouped into chapters by historical era and car type, each featured car is profiled in a one or two-page spread containing a wonderful balance of words, statistics and photos. Combined, each chapter and profile allows readers not only to understand the history behind each car and its use, but also appreciate the details of each car's design and craftsmanship, right down to the brass controller handles, stained glass windows, and sleek curvatures.

Covering everything from the 19th-Century horsecar predessesors of the trolley right through to the streamlined PCCs and Liverpool "Liners" that represented the end of the classic trolleycar era; this book is bound to satisfy both the serious urban rail enthusiast or historian, and anyone wanting to see what trolleys were like. If you enjoy the magic of trolleys, or the wonder of history vividly come to life in the present day, "Trolleycars" belongs in your hands!
